Movies on the Hill - Back to the Future!

Get ready for a blast from the past with a screening of Back to the Future!

Thursday, August 13, 8:30PM (movie beginning at sunset)
Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre (on the hill behind the library)

Join us for a FREE outdoor screening of Back to the Future. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, gather your friends and family, and enjoy this classic adventure under the stars. 

To celebrate the 1985 theme, we're also rolling back prices to 1985 with drop-in fitness and swimming for just $1.65!

Don't miss this fun-filled evening of nostalgia, community, and entertainment. We can't wait to see you there!

Afterschool Care: It's summer camp, all year long

At WSPR Afterschool Care, the school day ends and the adventure begins. Children enjoy a safe, welcoming environment where they can stay active, make friends, and explore new interests under the care of our experienced staff.

What makes our program unique is access to 109 acres of parkland, giving children room to play, discover, and connect with nature. Afternoons may include sports and games in our Indoor Sports Complex and outdoor turf fields, free play at two playgrounds, nature exploration, arts and crafts, science activities, and time to relax with friends.

Older children also have opportunities to build leadership skills by helping to lead activities and support younger participants.

Afterschool pickup is available from John Stubbs, David Cameron, Ruth King, Savory, Sangster, Wishart, and Crystal View Elementary Schools. Care is provided from the end of the school day until 5:30 p.m.
